Transcript

by Vaibhav & Medisid

Transcript is a set of documents given from the college as an assessment of all you have done. It contains all your postings(ward rotations/ clerkships) details.. marks.. etc.. there is not fixed format for it.. Each college has its own format. It is not usually given before completion of your degree. In short, you need a documentation of the clerkships you have done during mbbs and the details of your marks of all your years with a official seal/ stamp on the documents. Thanks to vaibhav for this valuable description!

A sample can be downloaded from the bottom of this webpage, thanks to medisid!

Very good work done regarding transcript.......many people new to electives will definitely have some problems understanding regarding transcript and especially to convince the college and Dean to issue one like that in the sample....@medisid....the sample looks very familiar.

now the transcript matter .   is it an original document like mark sheet    or   a  fresh typed and printed word document ,

once final year results come will the transcript be ready ...

Thank you very much... Medisid is busy packing so i thank u on his behalf too...  God bless u.. All the best...

Since I am in my final year of college and taking my final exams in december this year I wanted to apply for electives for next year, but my collge refuses to give me a transcript. What should I do ?

Dear Jayant,

Even i am a final year med student & wud b  appearing for my final exams in december. All you can do is just request your college authorities. Try talking this out with the principal of your college. This is the only thing that you can do.

With Regards,

Piyush

Dear Umar Bhai.....Salaam I have got two queries.... 1. I wanted to know that core clerkship includes the postings during the period of Internship only or does it also include the ward postings of IInd, IIIrd and Final Year MBBS (in India). 2. I have seen that certain colleges require that u should have completed core clerkship of 8 weeks in Psuchiatry and a similar period in other major subjects each. In our college we get only a period of 2 weeks in psychiatry during internship. However we do get 2 ward postings of Psychiatry of 1 month each during IIIrd and Final year respectively. Does this ward posting count into Core Clerkship? Dua wa Salaam

Jazak Allah Umar Bhai for prompt reply...... As u said "Core Clerkships are the latter (ward postings of 2nd, 3rd, 4th and final year)". Can u suggest me some documentary proof from any of the US colleges website which I can show to my college authority, so that they do not hesitate to issue me the Transcript...... Dua wa Salaam

U can get electives.. work on ur CV. make other things stronger.. and work towards ur electives applications with dedication, meeting other requirements.. I am sure u can get electives..

It does not matter at all... what if I say my results have been much poorer than yours... lol... I dont think college results have more than 5% role to play in your selection... lemme put it this way 50% luck, 35% early proper application, 10% good CV, 5% good scores!!!

HI ..

Time and again i have come across the terms "GOOD PAPER WORK" or "GOOD APPLICATION" or "APPLYING SMARTLY" .. I request you to throw light on this..

and keep up the good work!

thank you..

It simply means... provide ALL the documents required and fill all the forms CORRECTLY and PROPERLY, so that your application is not delayed because of incomplete documentation or improper/incomplete filling of forms!

Hey...

My college people are refusing to issue any transcripts this year as they say you cannot tamper with the format the university has provided and the transcript cannot be issued before the completion of internship.

Can i write my and my college's name and get the college stamp on the transcript that you have provided and send???

Please help... coz if thats not possible, no one from our college is ever gonna be able to go for these electives....

Hey please check your university website, they must have given info about it.

my university, Maharashtra University has stated that transcript can be issued before completing internship on there website.

if you want you can take print out of it and show it to your college.
