Hello umarbhai,

i have been a silent reader of your website for the past 3-4 months...

first of all thank you very much for a really usefule website...

i had some questions...

1. my tourist visa has been rejected 2 times before which i feel now was due to lack of documentation. i am really anxious about applying for a visa now. i have been accepted for an elective at Louisiana and have got the letter of acceptance and other docs in place including my financial data...family pics...med school leave letter and all of them docs...but i am really tense regarding applying for the visa.

2. i have been waiting for a reply from yale and wakeforest for approx 3.5 months but they have not yet replied in either positive or negative. and all my emails to them have been turned a blind eye to i guess. i want to apply for my visa but am apprehensive as what if i get accepted after the visa is granted for only a short period. DOES IT USUALLY TAKE SO LONG TO GET REPLIES????

3. i have been told to expect an answer from cornell by this friday or else i have to call them at cornell. is it a good idea to call them?

4. what do i fill up in the question on the visa form as to where are you intending to stay in the US...the university does not offer housing and the alternate arrangement is going to take sometime. my visa consultancy agency says that the uni address will suffice.

again thanks alot for your help. looking forward to your reply. please help me out.

Adi.
