Mededia Research Internship Program

Application Deadline for next cycle: Currently on hold
For more details, please visit http://mededia.com/intern
________________________________
Mededia now offers recurring 14 weeks of remote non-clinical internships which can be extended further depending upon intern’s performance. You will work either directly with an attending doctor in US on various non-clinical projects remotely. This internship program will provide you with solid foundation of research, professionalism, strong work ethic and medical innovation.

Please note that it is impossible to complete any significant project or produce any significant research in this short time period. This internship, however, will serve as a unique learning opportunity to develop new skills which will help you excel later in your career. In addition, if you perform well during this time period, you might be offered additional future opportunities for volunteer long-term research.

Please note that that this internship is no way limited to research and you will be expected to work independently at your own pace, on other career counseling and other non-clinical non-research projects allotted to you. You will share your progress briefly with your mentor on biweekly basis. Also, YOU ARE EXPECTED TO COMPLETE AT LEAST ONE RESEARCH PROJECT DURING YOUR INTERNSHIP.

This is a purely voluntary work and there will be no financial compensation for your work. The ownership and copyrights of all your work done under Mededia will be with Mededia. You are expected to have access to a computer and a decent internet connection to work remotely. Please show up 10-15 minutes before the assigned time of each meeting. You are expected to be professional and be punctual. If you fail to comply with any of these, it might result in termination of the internship. Please make sure you are available for internship BEFORE APPLYING. If you applied and are selected for internship but are unable to start the internship because of other commitments, you will not be considered for any future cycles of the internship.

If you perform well and efficiently during your duration, your mentor will be happy to issue you a letter of recommendation when needed. However, participation in this internship in no way guarantees a letter of recommendation unless you perform well and truly deserve it as judged by your mentor.

ELIGIBILITY: You need to be a medical student in good standing OR a medical graduate who has already passed USMLE Step 1 and 2. You need to have excellent command over English language, decent computer skills, access to a computer and good internet connection.
